Meet the Team
As an orthodontist, Dr. Parkinson is specially trained in the art of straightening teeth and creating beautiful smiles. Dr. Parkinson completed his dental training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, after which he completed two years of advanced training in orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. The recipient of numerous scholastic awards during his training, Dr. Parkinson demonstrates the same level of dedication and passion for orthodontics in the treatment of his patients. Dr. Parkinson takes an active role in meeting and exceeding the standards of his profession. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Washington State Dental Association and the Benton-Franklin Dental Society. Dr. Parkinson is committed to maintaining a state-of-the-art facility, utilizing the most current technologies available. To remain up to date with the latest advancements in orthodontics, Dr. Parkinson and his staff frequently attend continuing education seminars.
In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Parkinson enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their four children: Haley, Brendon, McKenna and Madi. Together they sponsor and participate in local youth sports and enjoy the great outdoors. Dr. Parkinson is an avid hunter, fisherman and scuba diver.
Dr. Butler received his dental school training at the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors. He then completed his orthodontic training at the University of Louisville, served as Class President, and earned both a certificate in Orthodontics and a Masterís degree in Oral Biology, researching facial esthetics. During his education he also participated in several research projects, and was the recipient of numerous awards. Because of his excellent clinical skills, Dr. Butler was invited to function as a teacher both during dental school and residency.
Dr. Butler is a self diagnosed ďtooth nerdĒ and wants his patients to have not just straight teeth and a healthy, stable bite, but also a confident smile that lights up the face and reflects the patientís unique personality. What really makes Dr. Butlerís day is seeing the changes, not only in the patientís teeth, but in their lives as well.
Since graduating, Dr. Butler has been practicing orthodontics in Texas but is excited to get back to his family and friends in the Northwest. He lives in Kennewick with his wife, Briana, their sons Trenton and Dallas, and daughters Brooklyn, Lexi and Ali. He is an avid golfer and outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, and nature photography.
Colleena is our treatment coordinator; she has 7 years experience in the orthodontic field and enjoys giving people the smile of a lifetime. Colleena has the pleasure of meeting all our patients at their initial consultation. Colleena likes to play games, and travel with her family. She has been married 32 years and has three children and 5 grandchildren. Colleena hopes to write a series of children’s books one day.
Eva has been the financial coordinator since 2003. Eva has 20 years of dental/orthodontic experience. She loves being part of the process of creating beautiful smiles. In her words, “It’s exciting to see the kids grow up right before my eyes”.
Eva grew up in the Lower Yakima Valley. After graduating from high school she lived in Spokane and Missoula Montana. Eva is married and has a grown son, Justin, who lives in Indiana. When Eva isn’t at the office she enjoys hunting, fishing and going on road trips with her husband. Eva has vacationed in Alaska and Hawaii. Melody has been the scheduling coordinator since 2003 and has been in the dental/orthodontic field for over 10 years. She is always waiting to greet you by name at the front desk. Melody learned Spanish in High School and enjoys helping Spanish speaking families feel right at home in our office. She loves to travel in the warm weather with her husband and daughter in their motor home. Melody also loves to garden and sometimes displays her dahlias throughout our office.
You may recognize our new sceduling coordinator from our TV commercial. Maleny and her family were featured in our commercial when she had her braces on. Maleny will be working at the front desk in the afternoons. She is currently in her second year at CBC. Maleny is an artist and loves to paint. In her spare time she is a youth leader at her church and enjoys being a student ambassador at CBC.
Jill has been an orthodontic assistant since 2002 and has been a part of our team since 2007. Jill loves her assisting position and enjoys getting to know her patients. She is always thrilled to see how a new, beautiful smile can influence a personís life. Jill loves to travel to Hawaii at least once each year. Jill enjoys a healthy life style and goes to the gym often. She spends her free time boating on the Columbia River with her family. Jill and her husband recently had a beautiful baby girl.
Ashlee was born and raised in the Tri-Cities. While attending the dental program at Tri-Tech she found her passion for orthodontics. She loves to play softball and in her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, boating and fishing with her family. Ashlee prefers to take vacations in the warmer climates, Texas, Florida and Hawaii. Ashlee likes to be a part of changing patients’ lives while transforming their smiles. Ashlee has a small son who keeps her very busy when she is not at work.
Monica is our bilingual records technician. She attended the dental program at Charter College. When Monica isnít at work, you can find her on the softball field. She plays for two softball teams and plays recreational tennis and basketball. She enjoys watching all sports. Monica is originally from Othello and has two younger brothers.
Angie is our bilingual orthodontic assistant. She has been in the dental field since 2008. She started as a general dental assistant and later realized she preferred orthodontic assisting. Angie loves to spend her weekends shopping, cooking, dancing and working out. Angie and her husband have one son. She has traveled to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and would like to visit Hawaii in the near future.
Kalleigh is an orthodontic assistant and loves interacting with our patients and their parents. She loves being a part of creating beautiful smiles. She has been an orthodontic assistant since 2007 and is amazed how knowledgeable she has become in her field. She has one handsome young son she loves to spend time with. Kalleigh spends her free time fishing, camping and taking road trips. Kalleigh also enjoys drawing in her spare time. She is currently a student at Columbia Basin College.
Sicily is an experienced dental assistant. She started dental assisting in 2004. Sicily attended Big Ben College in Moses Lake. She was born in Nebraska and raised in Moses Lake. Sicily, her husband, and their two small daughters live on a small family farm. On their farm they enjoy raising sheep, gardening, and entertaining guests on the weekends. She describes herself as mostly a homebody, but has an adventurous side when she is snowmobiling and riding her four-wheeler.
